DepoFoam Partnering - Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Pacira currently maintains strategic and supply partnerships with EKR Therapeutics, Inc, Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc., Flynn Pharma Ltd., Mundipharma International Holdings Limited, and Orphan Australia Pty Ltd. In addition, we have ongoing development collaborations with Maruho Co. Ltd, and other undisclosed partners.

Our commercial or development partnerships utilize our proprietary DepoFoam^® technology. Paciras strategic commercial and development teams have identified several product candidates for development to support our commercial portfolio as well as candidates that would benefit from our delivery technology for licensing.

DepoFoam medications are ready to use and, unlike microsphere or gelling formulations, can be administered through very fine needles. The technology does not modify the existing molecule, which allows Pacira and its partners to capitalize on molecules established safety and efficacy. In addition, there is less concern regarding its potential effect on metabolism, toxicology, and other safety or efficacy parameters compared to delivery technologies that involve a covalent change to the molecule. Ultimately this offers the opportunity to save both development time and cost.

Compared to traditional methods of drug delivery, DepoFoam has the potential to:
