Delivering with DepoFoam addresses the challenges associated with traditional injectable medications through a technology platform that:
- Releases encapsulated drug over desired period of time, from 1 to 30 days
- does not alter the current drug molecule
- Ready-to-use aqueous suspension
- works with narrow gauge needles and pen systems (27–31 gauge)
- Utilizes membrane components that are natural, well tolerated, and cleared by normal metabolic pathways
- Is less than 3% lipid and is biodegradable and biocompatible
- Does not deliver an undesirable burst of medication, but can be designed to offer a loading dose, if desired
