A real-world study observing knee osteoarthritis treatment over time

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the leading cause of disability among US adults and most commonly affects the knee. Many treatments are used to manage pain, yet researchers still need better information on how these treatments compare.
The Innovations in Genicular Outcomes Registry (IGOR) is a large, long-term study that follows patients with knee OA over time. It collects a variety of information on patients and their experience to see how different treatments impact real life. This collection of data helps researchers identify trends, which can lead to improved treatment options.
*Applies to 1 treatment (up to 18 months) that may be switched to the next round of treatment before completion of the 18-month time period. The follow-up period resets to day 0 if/when a subsequent treatment is received.
Your participation is voluntary but invaluable. By taking part in this registry, you are helping pave the way for better pain management.
A registry study is set up to collect information about how well treatments work to address a medical condition. In IGOR, the registry will collect information such as your level of knee pain experienced before and after treatment and how the treatment affects your day-to-day life.
IGOR is the name of the study, which stands for Innovations in Genicular Outcomes Registry. “Genicular” means related to the knee, so the study looks at how different treatments for knee pain work.
We collect information about your experience with treatment, including:
How you feel and function
Use of healthcare services
Your personal information will not be shared beyond your care team and will only be looked at as a collective of all patients enrolled as permitted by law.
You can stop the registry at any time throughout the process. Your withdrawal from the registry will not affect your treatment in any way.
When patients share their experiences, researchers gain valuable insights into how treatments work in real life. By participating in IGOR, you can help shape the future of knee osteoarthritis treatment.
